Today was a great memory day. My Mom came down for one of the last Monday's before she heads back to school. We did a whole lot of running, but it was so fun to be with her. There is a small distant between us but her words and actions to me always shine Love.
We went to Shoe Carnival. You can't imagine how fast shoes are ruined from standing on concrete All day. I ended up buying 4 shoes and she bought 8. It was just so funny and we both ended up saving the same amount! I also got some new clothes for my upcoming training in Nashville. It's the one part of my "work" when I can wear white and open toed shoes, so I want to soak up those 5 days as much as I can! I am now just resting here, soon I will be working on my lesson plans.
Yesterday I went to Elgin to participate in a cut-a-thon at Muddy Buddy for Paul Mitchell. It was absolutely breath taking. Over 15,000 people there. I got to cut a Challenged Athlete Clint Mabry, hair. He was so inspiring and so thankful for the donations we were getting. The experience will always be with me, I am so thankful I was asked to go and could lead the 5 Future Professionals we took.
So I am needing prayers for an upcoming trip I am planning on taking. I am "trying" to go to the DR with Eastview for a mission trip. I am having problems with getting the time off, so if you could just pray for understanding from my boss. I am feeling very strongly pulled to go and I just need his acceptance in order to get my support letters out.
