Devil

T0night's game was awesome. We won by 10, and I actually got 2 RBIs and had some good third base plays. Wow, we all came together. Ed came to my game, which meant the world to me. My co workers are more like family than anything.

So I've found that I need motivational speeches everyday in order to stay on the track I want to stay on. In the morning I turn the TV on, and I can watch it through my bathroom mirror. So Joyce Meyer is my mentor, I've always loved her messages. Today just hit home to me pretty hard. It was how we get upset over what other people are saying, how we can be so happy and the minute someone comes by we just shut off and turn cruel. She was saying how that is the devil working in people. Now I never really believed in the devil, I know I know, but it was something I thought if you didn't believe, it wouldn't actually harm you. But as I'm growing in my faith, I can see the devil's work in so many people. How awesome would it be if we all just said Stop, the minute bad thoughts came to our heads! If we just said Stop, you are no good for me when someone starts gossiping or speaking ill of others. Our lives could be so stress free, and weights would be lifted. But no we keep letting it go on and on. So after hearing that I decided to try and make that my goal for the day. And boy it was a hard one in today's schedule. I finally left the school, refreshed my self and came back in with a new attitude, and I ended my day off having a lot of fun. So next time you start to feel the devil crawl up on you, just say Stop and see how your day comes out.....

Yes...I love Joyce Meyers too...have you heard of or read "Battlefield of the Mind?" It's a in a regular book format or a devotional-style with little snippits out of the book to "chew" on for the day. GREAT book talking about the devil and how he messes with you. Sounds like you are growing...great to see! =)
